Schwein & Badornament is a collaboration project that has come together to put on a series of events showcasing artwork and some of the most exciting House, Techno & Electronica acts the underground has to offer

Badornament is a collective of artists, writers, DJs and other creative oddballs. First established in Grimsby & Cleethorpes by a group of school friends, the collective relaunched in Leeds in 2014 using the original name.

Focusing on music, art and fashion - as well as forays into the world of publishing - Badornament held its launch party at Arrosti Cafe, Leeds in early 2014.

Having booked one of the original Schwein DJs to play a set on this opening night, the stars had aligned for a meeting of minds, and it soon became evident that the two collectives would do well to work together.

The ensuing merger allowed the Schwein collective to organise club nights, leaving the Badornament team more time to host exhibitions, design clothing and produce oodles of awesome stuff!

Schwein is the bastard child of Hogsozzle Music Festival, having been established and funded by the Leeds contingent of the Hogsozzle crowd; a collective of DJs, producers and music lovers who share a passion for electronic music. Expect to hear everything from downtempo and deep grooves, to stripped back sounds and the downright naughty.

Lineups are planned with talent as top priority, choosing the correct selectors to warm up, headline and close your night.

A club night should be a journey and the Schwein & Badornament collective recognise the importance of booking artists that will seamlessly flow from one act to the next, keeping the energy in the room and providing the atmosphere for that epic night out.
